PARTNERSHIP broilers

The partnership comes from the partner, which means friends, colleagues or friends. Partnership emerged as a minimum there are two parties that partner. The desire to partner emerging from their respective parties, although it can also happen, that partnership arises due to the role of third parties.

In agriculture in general, broiler chicken farms in particular, one hand in partnership are farmers or ranchers who implement cultivation, while the other hand is a company engaged in the procurement of inputs and / or business processing, and marketing. Is the desire to partner emerges from each hand, or on the role of third parties, actual emergence of the partnership is a must or should happen naturally. This is related to two things: first, when we remember that the cultivation of broiler chicken farms is only one sub-system of the agribusiness system as a whole broiler chicken farms, the farmer can not stand on its own culture, the second, the consideration that there are strengths and weaknesses on each hand and each has a desire to co-exist.

With regard to the first, Poultry farming is only one sub-system only from the agribusiness system as a whole broiler chicken farms. We no longer develop aquaculture farms in terms of course, no longer have to approach how to produce broiler breeders. We must approach agribusiness as a whole, ie in the sub-system approach to procurement of inputs or sub-system of pre-production, in the sub-culture systems or production processes and in the sub-processing and marketing systems or sub-system of post-production, even must approach on the components or other factors related to the agribusiness system.

In the United States, partnerships have emerged in 1950, called vertical integration business. The changes from independent systems to a system of vertical integration in the United States had lasted from 1925 until 1950, and driven further by the very rapid production growth. This is not apart from the development of breeding technology and broiler chicken feed very rapidly, most rapidly compared with the development of other livestock commodities. Over the last 75 years, the final live weight broilers increased from 1.0 to 2.3 kg, with improved feed conversion from 4.7 to 1.8, death shrunk from 18 to 5%, and age more quickly achieved sales of 112 to 42 days. Thus production growth even faster than the growth of market absorption, which resulted in many breeding companies, feed mills and aquaculture businesses went bankrupt. At first each business unit independently seek their own benefit. Once integrated, the units were managed in an integrated way by bringing together the cost so the cost of production more efficient. In addition, to meet the varied market segments based on preferences, then the integration also include up to processing and marketing; so complete from upstream to downstream. Number of 'pemain'nya indeed become a little, but the scale of its businesses into larger.
