Duck is a good cattle, obedient, easy to breed, and provide many results. Ducks are animals that are resistant to almost all diseases. Ducks are also easily combined with a system of vegetables, fruits, and rice fields. Originally there is enough water and shelter, the ducks will always be healthy and happy.

Age of the first four weeks of life are the most important duck. With good feed and adequate water at this age, the ducks will help it grow faster, bigger, and disease resistance.

This period is also the period in which the young ducks need to be protected from predators. A little more work during this period will produce greater benefits in the future.

Water

Ducks need water supply continuously. They need a container or a pit filled with water that can be used as a place to drink when they eat. Ducks need water to help swallow and digest their food. Ducks also like the pool to swim and find food in water. This does not have to, but if possible, the availability of a pool would be very good for ducks, other than that the pool would be a good source of fertilizer. Duck can also be integrated with the water plant if the pond is big enough.

Feed

Duck like a mixture of insects, worms, fresh grass, fresh leaves, and grains (rice / rice, maize, and millet). Ducks will be hunting insects and worms in the soil, on the edge of the pond, and inunder mulch or leaves. It would be much easier for a duck to find insects and worms when the soil is wet. Give bijibijian or nuts on the ducks every day. Like the chicken, if you soak the seeds overnight and let it grow for 1-2 days, it will improve the quality of grain. A handful of grain for 5 ducks was enough.

Ducks Cage

Make a cage as a place to lay eggs, shelter, and berlindungnya duck, especially the duck is still small, from predatory animals, like dogs, cats, snakes and rats. Size 2 mx 2 m cage is a pretty good size for 10-15 ducks. Always provide a layer of grass clippings on the floor of the cage. Replace grass every 1-2 months. Grass kerin following this duck manure is compost material that is very good and strong. Ducks also will utilize the grass to make nests for their eggs. A container of water in the cage is also important untukdisediakan.

Shade

Ducks need shade, especially in the middle of a hot day. Simple shade of trees or any material can be provided as shelter for ducks.

Health

Almost all problems can be prevented by providing clean water for the ducks to drink each day, providing food, and clean the cage regularly. Make sure they get the shade, especially during the hot midday. Add papaya seeds or mulberry leaf feeding ducks on a regular basis to reduce the problem of worms. Separate the duck is sick from the healthy duck until it healed ailing ducks to prevent the spread of disease.

Duck Products

Duck meat can be processed and consumed in the same way as chicken meat and the taste is very delicious. Duck egg was bigger than chicken eggs and very healthy. Duck eggs are also good for the ingredients to make cakes or bread. In addition, meat or duck eggs easily traded or sold. Excellent duck droppings used as fertilizer, but this duck droppings are very strong so it must be mixed in the compost or liquid fertilizer before use.

Integration Duck with Fruit Trees

Cages are made closer to home will facilitate supervision. We recommend that the cage was also constructed near water sources. Ducks need a cage at night but they must be left free to roam in an open area during the middle of the day. This system is very minimal maintenance, but the vegetable garden should be protected from these ducks. Ya really like seeds of vegetables and green leafy vegetables, and can finish in no time!

A yard for ducks is much more easily prepared and treated than for chicken. Fences need is a small and short fence because ducks can not fly. In this system, the duck will only control weeds around fruit plants, consuming some insects, as well as providing fertilizer to the trees. Ducks are very happy to sit in the shade and will throw dirt in which they sit. Citrus and duck is a combinationvery good because of citrus fertilizer like a very strong and this plant has shallow roots and vines that will not be dug up and disturbed by ducks.

Plant several types of fast-growing legume crops between the trees of fruit, especially if the fruit trees were newly planted. Legume crops that will provide shade quickly and will be trimmed to provide nitrogen and mulch.

Integration Duck with Rice

Ducks can be used to eat weeds and provide fertilizer on rice crop after harvest. Use a small fence that can be moved around to keep the ducks are on paddy fields in accordance einginan you. It would be better to move them back to the barn every night to protect them from predators and gather eggs.

Duck with Vegetable Garden

Ducks can be incorporated into this system, especially when we are done harvesting. Ducks will eat weeds and insects, as well as provide fertilizer to the soil for next crop.

Remember to always provide shade in the daytime. Give extra supervision forthe land that has been planted vegetables, or the ducks will spend it!

Duck with Integration of Irrigation Channels

Availability of the pool would be very nice for the ducks. In addition, water-filled pool of nutrients can be used as compost and liquid fertilizer.

This system also can provide nutrients in irrigation water that will be used by plants. In the rainy season, when there is water that overflowed from the duck pond, you can use sengkedan or other water catchment below the pond to hold water.

This is a water rich in nutrients, which will nourish your vegetables and trees.

Beware!

Residual water from the kitchen or bathroom should not be used directly for the duck pondbecause it contains soaps and detergents that can make a sick duck.
